Town of
Mamakating - Sullivan County - New York
The Town of Mamakating is located on the southeast end of
Sullivan County and is the oldest township in the county. Site of the
Delaware and Hudson Canal, Mamakating is a major gateway to Sullivan
County. A popular area for outdoor recreation, this area is now becoming
Metropolitan New York's newest bedroom community. The future county
Welcome Center is planned for this area as well as several major
developments. The community is business friendly and welcomes new
enterprises and residents warmly.
