Giant Ledge

Shortly after leaving the trail head, you will find the registration area. Please sign-in with the number in your hiking party and your destination. Follow the yellow markers for giant ledge.

Your first creek crossing will be at this foot bridge. Notice the yellow marker on the right rail, you're still heading in the right direction! Once you cross the bridge you will encounter a small incline.

One of the nicest parts of the trail, a level footpath, the forest cover is dense enough to keep the trail cool and provide shelter form light rain.

This is the first of several rocky inclines. Watch your step as all of the loose rocks provide easy access to twisted ankles.

The trail splits here, now giant ledge is found by traveling the blue trail markers. This is just about the halfway point to the summit.

In the spring and late autumn you will encounter several waterholes along the trails.
