Liberty School System
Liberty Elementary School was
built as a central school in 1925 for the Village of
Liberty. In 1963, the Liberty Central High School
was opened because of the expanding population at
the Main Street Building, which now houses the
elementary school students. Liberty Middle School
was opened in 1992 due to overcrowding at the
elementary and high schools. The high school enrolls
students in grades 8-12 and offers an array of
academic programs, which include AP courses and a
Distance Learning Program that was newly added, and
students can participate in extracurricular
activities and sports.
Liberty participates in a LEAP, Liberty Enrichments After-School Program, which provides supervised and cost-effective before and after-school programs that are safe and drug-free for students, their families, and the community. The Liberty LEAP program puts an emphasis on goal setting, management, safety, health and nutrition, as well as family and community involvement. Liberty's Core Values consist of believing that all individual's have inherent worth and can reach their potential with support and guidance; a positive attitude is essential to knowledge, creativity, and growth; learning is life-long; respect deserves respect; and passion drives great achievements. Liberty Central School District's Mission statements inspires all students to pursue their dreams and to contribute and thrive in a diverse community. According to Liberty's Strategic Objectives, by 2005, students will be able to articulate and pursue their dreams, contribute to and be members of the diverse community in which they live.
